SEUM IP is pleased to announce the appointment of an associate patent attorney in the bio/chemical field in June 2023.
She will be working on patents for inventions in the fields of bio, pharmaceutical, renewable energy, cosmetics, food, and chemicals. We look forward to welcoming Inji Jung as she embarks on her new journey.
In July 2023, SEUM IP hired Hanseul Ryu as a partner in the chemical/materials/pharmaceutical practice.
At SEUM IP, Hanseul plans to leverage his expertise in IP finance and corporate experience to provide customized IP consulting services for companies in the chemicals, electronics, renewable energy, and pharmaceutical sectors, as well as perform overall IP work, including patent portfolio construction, patent analysis, technology evaluation, and technology transfer for IP monetization.

SEUM IP has been designated as an industrial property rights diagnostic organization by the Korean Intellectual Property Office.
In accordance with Article 36(1) of the Invention Promotion Act, an industrial property diagnostic organization is designated by the KIPO as an organization that specializes in industrial property diagnosis in order to enhance the ability of universities, companies, research institutes, etc. to manage industrial property rights and prevent duplicate investment in R&D.

SEUM IP attended the 73rd Annual Meeting of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA), hosted by the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) at BEXCO in Busan, Korea, from 15-18 October. Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the in-person event was held for the first time in three years, and was attended by more than 1,400 patent attorneys and IP lawyers from more than 70 countries.
We had the opportunity to greet and get acquainted with lawyers from overseas collaborating offices or law firms, and discuss ways to strengthen the global network of business collaboration.
