[SEUM Law] SEUM Law Advises Daangn Market on KRW 40 Billion Funding Round

SEUM Law advised Daangn Market, which operates an app-based used goods marketplace, in its recent KRW 40 billion funding round which was led by Altos Ventures and Goodwater Capital and included investments from its existing investors Softbank Ventures, Kakao Ventures, Strong Ventures, and Capstone Partners.

“Daangn Market”, an acronym in the Korean language for “a market near you”, is an app-based platform where users buy and sell goods with nearby users.  The mobile app was designed to maximize trust between users by verifying user locations and allowing users to rate their experience with other users.  The app is highly regarded by its users and has been downloaded over 8 million times to date, achieving the status of the No. 1 app in the “Shopping” category on Google Play Store.

The SEUM Law team was comprised of partners Hoseok Jung, Clara Miri Kang, Seungkyu Byun, as well as associates Egyul Kim.
